Sail For Sight To Raise Funds for the QEH Lions Caribbean Eye Care Centre

On October 13th Bill Tempro, a seasoned sailor who lost his sight while sailing, will sail, single handedly, around Barbados. His goal, to raise BDS $500,000 in funds for the purchase of much needed medical equipment for the Lions Caribbean Eye Care Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The Lions Caribbean Eye Care Centre which is home to the hospital’s Ophthalmology Department provides hundreds of Barbadians with severe sight loss resulting from glaucoma, cataracts and diabetic retinopathy with much needed curative surgical services.
