Take-away from WIGLS 24 month data:
1. SLT safely and effectively lowers IOP in Afro-Caribbeans with POAG.
2. Most patients will not need medications.
3. SLT can be safely repeated when its initial effect wanes.
4. SLT should be considered a preferred primary therapy for POAG in people of African descent.
